As Above, So Below

This famed occultist term originates from ‘The Emerald Tablet’ –

The Emerald Tablet, or the Emerald Table as it is frequently called is part of the Hermetica and is one of most revered magical documents in Western occultism. Hermes Trismegistus is portrayed in art as holding an emerald upon which he inscribed the entire Egyptian philosophy.

According to legend, The Emerald Tablet is said to have been discovered in a caved tomb, clutched in the hands of the corpse of Hermes Trismegistus. Legends differ on the discoverer. One says it was Sarah, the wife of Abraham. Another says it was Apollonius of Tyana. The stone is inscribed in Phoenician and revealed the magical secrets of the universe. A Latin translation of the Tablet came out by 1200, preceded by several Arabic versions. None of the translations are identical, and little on the Tablet appears to make sense.

The most significant part of The Emerald Tablet is within its opening: “That which is above is like that which is below and that which is below is like that which is above, to achieve the wonders of the one thing.” Therefore, “This is the foundation of astrology and alchemy: that the microcosm of mankind and the earth is a reflection of the macrocosm of God and the heavens.”

Although most of the works of the Hermetica have disappeared or been destroyed over the centuries, practically the entire system of traditional and modern magic was inscribed upon the emerald tablet in cryptic wording. Some claim its true meaning must be found in every human’s soul. Thus is the massage of the emerald tablet:

True, without falsehood, certain and most true, that which is above is the same as that which is below, and that which is below is the same as that which is above, for the performance of miracles of the One Thing. And as all things are from the One, by the meditation of One, so all things have their birth from this One Thing by adaptation. The Sun is its Father, the Moon its Mother, the Wind carries it in its belly, its nurse is the Earth. This is the Father of all perfection, or consummation of the whole world. Its power is integrating, if it be turned into earth.

Washington sat in the ‘Lotus Pose’ one hand pointed up the other below, As Above, So Below, it’s a free-masonic symbol suggesting that Lucifer plans to rebel against God and exalt himself as God.

Now take a look at Baphomet, a freemasonic, luciferian idol, sitting in the exact same pose, an explicable link is presented to us.

You shall separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, suavely, and with great ingenuity and skill. Your skillful work ascends from earth to heaven and descends to earth again, and receives the power of the superiors and of the inferiors. A Macrocosm, or a miniature earth within all men, allow God or Lucifer to accession is the sole responsibility of man.

The purpose of all rituals in ceremonial magic is to unite the ‘microcosm’ Definition: (microcosm. a little world; a world in miniature (opposed to macrocosm). anything that is regarded as a world in miniature. human beings, humanity, society, or the like, viewed as an epitome or miniature of the world or universe.)…

…with the ‘macrocosm’ Definition: (the whole of a complex structure, especially the world or the universe, contrasted with a small or representative part of it.)…

to join God, or gods when invoked, with the human consciousness. When such a supreme union is achieved the subject and object becomes one. This is because the magician feels that he is consciously in touch with all elements of the universe, therefore, he can control them. It may be said, the magician feels connected with the universe. This feeling intensifies the more the magician successfully practices his skills. Whenever he experiences a failure he knows that the ritual was not performed correctly.

So, ultimately understanding the knowledge of the universe equals the ‘Apple of Eden,’ no doubt. But it is warned in the Bible if one was to know all, he would surely die…

The Forbidden Fruit

The soul of man comprises the number 6, see the 6 points, divisible by 2, we are a conglomeration of both good and evil, a battle ground of the two; knowing what lies between is effectively playing God, it negates our predestination. See how the image repeats itself infinitely inwards, the knowledge there is that God is incomprehensible, the material realm will never understand him, a forewarning. The point in the center perhaps represents God himself. The inward inception is the ever shrinking or growing forms of micro/macrocosms.

1<2<3<4<5<6<7 … and so on/vice versa, the matrix of perpetual paradigm, from a cellular level, to the body, to the spirit to God himself. As the planet is composed of layers in material and atmosphere, so is the very fabric of man.

Thus, the whole concept of free masonry is to harness this understanding, and bend and manipulate it to the will of Satan through mankind’s free will, the trumping of God, the false prophet and ultimately ruling the ‘Human Domain’ – aka the battlegrounds of good and evil…
